Time Traveler's Wife

March 27, 2010
Nagising ako ng maaga ngayon:> Then naisipan kong manood. Haha. March 27, 2010. I have no idea of what the movie is all about. I just heard that it was good. So I have decided to watch it.
Ang ganda nung movie! It made me feel sad. Ang hirap pala kapag alam mo yung mga nangyayari sa future:)) Like kung kailan ka mamamatay o_0. CREEPY! I know, right?:D Pero siyempre marami ring benifits yon. Like sa movie, yung nakakuha sila ng 5 million dollars kasi alam na agad yung winning number?:> OHRIGHT! Instant Millionaire. Haha. Somehow, having a husband which is a time traveler is difficult. Di mo hawak yung time. May ganun ba talaga? Hahaha. Masyadong nadala sa movie e. By the way, mag-isa ko uli tong pinanuod sa laptop. Haha, kinda selfish? Naaah. I don't think they would appreciate this kind of movie. Si mama siguro? Pero asa ibang bansa naman siya. Haha. Imma let her watch it pagbalik niya. Swear:)
This day panunoorin ko yung second movie ng Harry Potter which is "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets". Medyo nadisappoint ako sa first. Haha. Ahhm joke lang. Ayos na rin. Inuuna ko kasi yung book before yung movie. And the book was way more excellent than the movie. Lagi naman ata e. Ohwell. Gonna watch it at our television naman. In order to share na rin with my family. It's a science-fiction movie rin naman e. Toodles!
My Sister's Keeper

MOVIE
MY SISTER'S KEEPER
Oh grabe:) It's nakaiiyak nga! Haha. Shaks pero di naman ako umiyak kasi magmumukha talaga akong ewan. Haha mag-isa ko kasing nanonood sa laptop at nak
a-earphones pa kaya wala silang alam sa nangyayari sa mundo ko. Haha. The movie was great! Napantayan ata yung level nung story sa book? Pero of course, di maiiwasan yung mga deleted scenes diba? Marami pa ring nawalang scenes tulad nung love story ni Campbell at nung Guardian Ad Litem. But it was really a good movie after all:))

NOVEL
MY SISTER'S KEEPER
My Sister's Keeper is about Anna Fitzgerald, a 13-year-old girl who enlists the help of an attorney, Campbell Alexander, to sue her parents for the rights to her body. Kate, Anna's older sister, suffers from acute promyelocytic leukemia, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Anna was conceived through in vitro fertilization to be a donor who could save Kate's life. Her parents initially use Anna's umbilical cord blood to treat Kate, and continue to use Anna as a donor for other bodily substances as Kate cycles through remission and relapse over the years. Anna is usually willing to donate whatever Kate needs - blood, bone marrow - but a kidney transplant would be a major surgery for not only Kate, but Anna as well and living with one kidney would affect her greatly. Anna eventually petitions for medical emancipation so that she will be able to make her own decision concerning donating a kidney to Kate, who is experiencing renal failure. Sara, her mother, is an ex-lawyer and decides to represent herself and her husband in the lawsuit. She continually attempts to convince Anna to drop the suit, but Anna refuses to do so.
The guardian ad litem assigned to Anna as her representative is Julia Romano, an old girlfriend of Campbell's. Julia and Campbell met at a private high school, where she was a scholarship student from a poor background and he both popular and wealthy. They fell in love and enjoyed a relationship until Campbell broke up with her at graduation. Julia was never able to determine the reason but felt it was because of her social class. Although they try to conduct court business professionally, their attraction to one another is apparent. Feeling abandoned again, Julia is frustrated with her relationship with Campbell. He also has a service dog whose purpose he keeps a secret. However, when Campbell has a seizure during Anna's testimony, the purpose of the dog is revealed: he is a seizure dog. Julia then learns that Campbell developed epilepsy after getting into a car accident before their graduation, and broke up with her because he did not want to be a burden. Julia supports him, and they reunite.
During the trial, it is revealed that Kate put Anna up to the emancipation because she did not want Anna to go through with the transplant. The judge rules Anna's favor, and gives Campbell medical power of attorney to help her make any medical decisions until she turns 18. After winning the court case, Anna is involved in a car accident and is left brain dead. With Campbell's permission, her kidneys are donated to Kate. As the book closes, a number of years have passed since Anna's death. Kate finishes the book, saying she is a dance teacher, Jesse is a police officer, Sara went back to work, Brian became an alcoholic, and that six years have passed since her last relaspe. Kate explains that she thinks she has survived for so long because someone had to die, and Anna took her place.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Done! Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets(BOOK 2). Gonna watch the movie later. :)Soon after the start of Harry's second year at Hogwarts, messages on the walls of the corridors say that the mythical Chamber of Secrets has been re-opened and that the "heir of Slytherin" would kill all pupils whose parents are not both magical – which includes Hermione. At intervals various inhabitants of the school are found petrified in corridors. Meanwhile, Harry, Ron, and Hermione discover Moaning Myrtle, the ghost of a girl who was killed the last time the Chamber was opened, and who now haunts the girls' toilet in which she died. Myrtle shows Harry a diary bearing the name Tom Marvolo Riddle. Although its pages are blank, it responds when Harry writes in it. Eventually the book shows him Hogwarts as it was fifty years ago. There he sees Tom Riddle, a pupil at the time, pin the blame for opening the Chamber on Rubeus Hagrid, who was then thirteen years old and already devoted to keeping dangerous magical creatures as pets.
Four months later, the diary is stolen, and shortly afterward Hermione is petrified. However, she holds a note explaining that the culprit is a basilisk, a huge serpent whose gaze kills those who look into its eyes directly but only petrifies those who look into them by means of a reflecting surface, such as water or a mirror. Hermione concluded that the monster travels through the school's pipes and emerges through the toilet Myrtle haunts. As the attacks continue, Cornelius Fudge, the Minister for Magic, holds Hagrid in the wizards' prison as a precaution. Lucius Malfoy, a former supporter of Voldemort who claims to have reformed, then announces that the school's governors have suspended Dumbledore from the position of headmaster.
After Ron's younger sister Ginny is taken into the Chamber, the staff insist that the Dark ArtsGilderoy Lockhart, should handle the situation. However, when Harry and Ron go to his office to tell him what they have discovered about the basilisk, Lockhart reveals that he is a fraud who took credit for the accomplishments of others and attempts to erase the boys' memories. Disarming Lockhart, they march him to Moaning Myrtle's toilet, where Harry opens the passage to the Chamber of Secrets. In the sewers under the school, Lockhart grabs Ron's wand and tries again to wipe the boys' memories – but Ron's wand had been damaged in an accident at the start of the school year and the spell backfires, inflicting total amnesia on Lockhart, collapsing part of the tunnel and separating Harry from Ron and Lockhart. teacher,
While Ron attempts to tunnel through the rubble, Harry enters the Chamber of Secrets, where Ginny lies beside the diary. As he examines her, Tom Riddle appears, looking exactly as he did fifty years ago, and explains that he is a memory stored in the diary. Ginny wrote in it about her adolescent hopes and fears, and Riddle won her confidence by appearing sympathetic, possessed her, and used her to open the Chamber. Riddle also reveals that he is Voldemort as a boy. He further explains that he learned from Ginny who Harry was and about his own deeds as Voldemort. When Ginny realised that she had been responsible for the attacks, she attempted to throw the diary away, which is how it came into Harry's possession. Riddle then releases the basilisk to kill Harry. Dumbledore's pet phoenix, Fawkes, brings a magnificent sword wrapped in the Sorting Hat. Harry uses the sword to kill the basilisk – but only after being bitten by the creature's venomous fangs, one of which breaks off. As Riddle gloats over the dying Harry, Fawkes cures him with its tears. Harry stabs the diary with the broken fang, and Riddle screams and vanishes.[1] Ginny revives after Riddle's disappearance and they return to Ron, who is still watching over the amnesic Lockhart. Fawkes carries all four out of the tunnels.
Harry recounts the whole story to Dumbledore, who has been reinstated. The headmaster revokes his threat to expel the boys if they broke more rules and gives them special awards for services to the school. When Harry mentions his fears that he is similar to Tom Riddle, Dumbledore says that Harry chose Gryffindor House, and only a true member of that House could have used Godric Gryffindor's sword to kill the basilisk. Lucius Malfoy bursts in, and Harry accuses him of slipping the diary into one of Ginny's books while all the pupils were shopping for school books. Malfoy replies, "Prove it." Finally, all of the basilisk's petrified victims are revived by a potion, the preparation of which has taken several months.
Alice in Wonderland

I had watched this movie with my friends: Allayza Almodiente, Seth Jason Fesalbon, Anna Sabado, Billy Jay Rufac, Jessa de Guzman, Stephanie Guiang, Andre Frigillana, Michael Lorenzo Padilla, Michelle Palma Baldevia, Bernice Fallaria! MARCH 2010.
Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska) is the daughter of Charles Kingsleigh (Marton Csokas), a wealthy man who planned to find profitable shipping routes through the world in the 19th century. When she tells him of her adventures in Wonderland (later to be revealed as 'Underland'), he declares her mad, but that all the best people are. However, many years afterward, Charles has passed away, and Alice misses his playful attitude.
Now feeling trapped in a world of proper etiquette for one such as herself, Alice is taken to a garden party, where it is hoped that she will accept a marriage proposal from Hamish (Leo Bill), the son of one of her father's business partners. However, Alice soon grows distracted seeing a rabbit with a waistcoat nearby, and rushes after the strange creature.
Following it, she finds her way to the trunk of an old tree some ways off, and falls down a hole. The hole leads her to a strange room, of which she finds a key, as well as a drink that makes her smaller, and a cake that increases her size. After getting the key and shrinking down to use a small door, she soon finds herself in an enormous garden area.
Soon after, she comes across the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen), as well as the Dormouse (Barbara Windsor), a Dodo bird (Michael Gough), and the Tweedles (Matt Lucas). The White Rabbit explains that is sure he has found the right Alice this time, while the Dormouse believes he is mistaken. Alice explains that her name is Alice, but feels they are looking for another "Alice." They take her to Abosolom the Caterpillar (Alan Rickman), who consults a scroll, which contains details regarding the history of Wonderland, from it's birth onward. The scroll claims that on the Frabjous Day, Alice will return to slay the Jabberwocky. Alice sees this, and adamants that she is not the person in the scroll, when a commotion breaks out, and the Knave of Hearts (Crispin Glover) appears, along with some red-carded soldiers and a creature called a Bandersnatch. Everyone scatters, as the Knave takes the scroll, and captures the Dodo bird. Alice, when confronted with the Bandersnatch, stands her ground, convinced that it is just a dream. However, the creature scratches her, and Alice takes off running, but not before the Dormouse plucks out one of the creature's eyes.
Some ways off, Alice encounters the Tweedles again, who attempt to help her, but are soon captured by a giant bird that takes them to the Red Queen's castle. At the castle, the Knave of Hearts informs the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) about the scroll, and the prophecy of Alice killing the Jabberwocky (of which she possesses). The Red Queen orders Alice to be found, and the Knave utilizes a bloodhound named Bayard (Timothy Spall) to track her down, promising freedom for Bayard's wife and pups (a lie, meant as a way to get the dog to help the Red Queen).
Meanwhile, Alice encounters the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry), who leads her to the Mad Hatter's place, where she encounters the Dormouse again, as well as the March Hare (Paul Whitehouse). The Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is pleased to see Alice, and is in rapture over the coming Frabjous day in which she will slay the Jabberwocky. Alice again insists she is not 'that Alice,' when the Knave of Hearts and Bayard close in. The Hatter stuffs Alice into a teapot, to hide her from the Knave. In secret, the Dormouse scolds the dog for bringing the Knave there, but Bayard explains why he came. He then attempts to lead the Knave off in a different direction.
After they have left, the Hatter walks Alice through the nearby woods, where they come across the burned ruins of a small village. The Hatter then explains to Alice about how in the time she was gone, the Red Queen has taken over Wonderland, banishing the White Queen (Anne Hathaway) to her own domain, and taking her vorpal sword.
As they talk, the Knave again approaches, and the Hatter places Alice on his hat, and flings it across a river, giving himself up to the Knave, who takes him to the Red Queen. Later on, Bayard finds the hat and Alice. Alice manages to convince Bayard to take her to the Red Queen's castle, to rescue the Hatter. Along with the hat, they find their way there, where Alice encounters the White Rabbit assisting with a game of croquet with the Red Queen. Alice requests to be made larger (she is still the size of a gerbil), and the rabbit gives her a cake. However, she eats too much and ends up almost 10 feet tall, disrupting the croquet game. The Queen does not recognize Alice, who says she is 'Um' from Umbridge, and wishes to help the Queen. The Queen, impressed by the size of Alice's head, declares her to be made part of her royal court.
The Hatter is brought before the Queen and Alice, and is at first intended to be beheaded. However, the Hatter manages to stall for time, by requesting that he make the Queen a hat for her enormous head. Flattered by the attention, she gives into this request. Alice soon after finds out that the vorpal sword is on the grounds of the castle, but is locked away in a chest in the quarters of the Bandersnatch. After procuring the plucked eye from the Dormouse (who has broken into the castle to free the Hatter), Alice manages to return the eye to the creature. This allows her to gain access to the sword. Alice goes to the Hatter's room, and finds the Dormouse there. However, the Knave of Hearts shows up shortly, and when the Dormouse lets slip Alice's true name, he attempts to kill her. Alice manages to escape into the courtyard, where the Bandersnatch helps her escape from the castle. Bayard also accompanies her, as they head for the White Queen's castle.
The Red Queen then orders that the Hatter and the Dormouse be executed the next day. However, the Cheshire Cat uses his trickery to take on the guise of the Hatter, and allows the Hatter, Dormouse, the White Rabbit, the Tweedles, and Bayard's family to escape. They all soon meet up at the White Queen's castle, where the Queen has used her potions knowledge to shrink Alice to normal size.
The next day then dawns...the Frabjous day. Almost everyone is willing to take up arms for the White Queen. However, she hopes that Alice will fulfill the prophecy, but Alice rushes off to the Queen's garden, still upset over everyone pushing her into this task. It is there she encounters Absolom, cocooning himself. It is here that Absolom explains to Alice how she had been to Wonderland before, and suddenly, it all comes back to her, that what she thought originally was a dream was real. After her revelation, Alice dons the armor prepared for her by the White Queen, and takes up the vorpal sword.
Both the White Queen and the Red Queen meet on a checkerboard field. Both Queens meet first, with the White Queen asking her sister to not do battle, but the Red Queen refuses to give into the pacification of her sister's plea. The White Queen brings forth Alice as their 'champion,' as the Red Queen' summons the Jabberwocky. As Alice faces off with the creature, the rest of the armies go to war. Alice plays a mind-game with herself, talking of 6 impossible things, as it is claimed her father would do before breakfast. In her mind-game, she manages to find the strength to slay the Jabberwocky. The Red Queen demands that her subjects kill Alice, but as the White Queen's champion has slayed that of the Red Queen, the Red Queen's subjects will no longer follow her commands.
The White Queen orders the Red Queen banished to the Outlands, for the crimes that she has committed (due to a the White Queen's vow not to harm a living creature, she will not kill her sister), with noone to offer her sympathy. The Knave of Hearts is also chained to her, as punishment as well. However, the thought of being alone with the Queen causes him to try to kill her, before his dagger is taken from him by the Hatter.
After the Red Queen and the Knave are taken away, the White Queen's army rejoices, with the Hatter doing a Fudderwupping dance, much to the delight of everyone. The White Queen then collects some of the Jabberwocky's blood, and gives it to Alice. The blood of the Jabberwocky allows Alice to return to her world, and she returns to the Garden Party.
Alice then explains to Hamish that she cannot accept his proposal, as well as speaks her mind to a number of different relatives and acquaintances. Her forthright attitude catches the eye of Hamish's father, and soon, the two discuss plans to expand the shipping routes to China, a land that has not yet been opened to the west.
Alice is then made an apprentice to the company, and sets off with a crew to open the shipping route to China, aboard a ship titled "Wonder". The last thing shown is a bright blue butterfly, none other than Abosolom.

We all want something more than just a simple life
Hey, hey, so give me something to say

I'm still cramming even in my summer vacay. Actually I'm not on a vacation yet. I'm just absent. HAHA! Haven't got the chance to watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone movie last tuesday because I finish La Corda first. I just started the half of the first movie last night and finished the other half a while ago. Now, I'm reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets(book 2!:P). I want to achieve reading the book today (but I think I can't). Why do I call it as cramming? Because I want to accomplish reading all the books before summer vacay starts. I'm just borrowing books from my friend and I think it is impossible for her to lend me the books during the summer vacation. By now, I should've been done with the second book and start reading the third but what am I doing? (doing nonsense stuffs and surfing the internet again)

Just thoughts.
Gonna start reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets tonight. It's the second book of Harry Potter Series. But I'm thinking of watching the movie of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone first. I'm beginning to like the series! I've never been a fan of Harry Potter series even the movies till I read the first book. Well, there's a lot more to know about his adventures.
On the other hand, I don't want to finish this another book entitled Maniac Magee anymore. I find it boring, really. I don't know what it is all about. It's quite a mystery to me. I'm not really interested with it and I don't know why.
I dont want to go to school tomorrow because it's useless. We're just stucked in our room doing nothing all day. Post tests were already given to us. We're just waiting for our teacher in Physics to give us our one last test.
By the way, I'm watching the anime La Corda D' Oro. I borrowed the CD from my former classmate. I just started it a while ago *chuckles* but I need to give it back tomorrow. It's been with me for weeks. It has 26 episodes and guess what episode I'm currently watching? It's the fifth:> HAHA! OMY. I really need to be absent tomorrow so I can watch more episodes/ finish watching the anime.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

March 21,2010:)
I just started reading the Harry Potter series yesterday and I'm already done with the first book by this day! The story was fun and interesting! Gonna watch its corresponding movie tomorrow.
BRIEF SYNOPSIS
This story introduces us to Harry Potter, an orphaned boy sent to live with his "horrible" Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and their fat, obnoxious son, Dudley. Since Harry's parents were powerful witches before they were killed by an even more powerful witch, Harry has Generational Witchcraft in his background, making it very likely that he will be a wizard when he grows up. Vernon and Petunia know this, and since they hate Witchcraft and anything to do with it, they determine to try to raise Harry in such a way as to deny him any knowledge of his parent's proclivities.
Therefore, they do not tell him the truth of his parent's death, telling Harry they were killed in an auto accident. They also force Harry to live in a closet underneath the stairs, even though they have a perfectly good extra bedroom upstairs. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia deny Harry any parental love and compassion; in fact, all through this book, any non-witch folk -- like Vernon and Petunia -- are depicting in disgusting language. Non-witch people are known as Muggles , and they are depicting as being "dumber than a box of rocks", of being physically obscene, and of living the most boring, unimaginative lives possible. Witches, on the other hand, are depicted as being very smart, very "with it", of being physically normal, and of living wonderfully exciting lives, especially when they are in their Fantasy Reality, explained below.
In a flashback scene to the time 10 years earlier when Harry's Mom and Dad were psychically murdered by evil Lord Voldemort on Halloween night, we learn that, instead of Voldemort's curse killing Harry as it had done to his parents, he was merely permanently scarred with a lightning bolt right in the middle of his forehead. [p. 14-15] Of course, a Christian would be immediately alerted to this turn of events because soon a supernaturally powerful global leader will demand everyone on earth take some sort of a mark in exactly this place on the body.
Harry spends his first ten years totally unaware that he has Witchcraft in his background [Generational Witchcraft, p. 51] and that he might possess inherent "special powers". Suddenly, a letter arrives from the Hogwart School of Wizardry and Witchcraft, telling Harry that he has been accepted as a student, and informing him as to when classes begin. Of course, Uncle Vernon intercepts and destroys the letter. On the next day, two letters arrive, and Vernon destroys them. On the next day, many more letters arrive, this time coming in through windows, doors, and cracks. Finally, after the most stupid flight possible to avoid the letters, enough letters arrive at the boat on which Uncle Vernon has taken Harry that Harry finally gets his hands on one of the letters.
Harry is totally dumbfounded with the news that he is a Wizard, but he has to get free of the physical clutches of Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia. They have Harry on a boat headed for nowhere and they had every intention of keeping Harry from ever attending Hogwarts School. However, Harry receives supernatural assistance. A very huge man suddenly appears on the boat, out of nowhere, and forcibly removes Harry from the clutches of Uncle Vernon. His name turns out to be Hagrid, and he is the groundskeeper of Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft.
Soon, Harry finds his way through the dimensional portal at the train station, and on board the Hogwarts train, on his way to discovering new friends, and an entirely new, exciting life in the Fantasy Reality of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Suddenly, Harry finds himself and his friends in the exciting race to discover the Sorcerer's Stone, the occult symbol of reaching the final stage in the quest for eternal life.

Charlie Bone and the Invisible Boy

BOOK 3 of the "Children of the Red King" Series.
Charlie Bone's third year at Bloor's Academy brings about quite a few changes. In addition to a mysterious disappearance on Uncle Paton's part, the Yewbeam aunts have a new guest in Aunt Venetia's home- a girl named Belle, who seems to exercise some control over them. Charlie notices early on that Belle's eyes constantly change color. Also, Benjamin has gone to Hong Kong with his parents, leaving his dog, Runner Bean, in Charlie's care.
Upon returning to the school, Charlie and Emma quickly learn from the art teacher, Mr. Boldova, of a boy who has been living there- Ollie Sparks, who is in fact Mr. Boldova's younger brother. He is invisible, although, he does not want to be. Charlie, Emma, Fidelio, Olivia and their friends hatch a plan to rescue Ollie. However, their plans are constantly interrupted- Tancred Torsson, one of the Endowed, has a fight with his fellow Endowed, Lysander Sage, which causes him to storm from Bloor's in a storm of wind and rain. Only with Lysander and Fidelio's help is Tancred able to calm down and help them rescue Ollie.
Meanwhile, back home, Uncle Paton has returned and has a serious fever from which he only wakes once briefly to speak to Charlie. He has also lost his ability to destroy light bulbs. Charlie decides to pay a visit to the portrait of Skarpo the sorcerer, who agrees to help Paton if Charlie will help him get back into his portrait, from which he is released. Cook takes care of him until Skarpo gives Charlie the name of the herb to save Uncle Paton. Unfortunately, the herb (vervain) can be found in only one place nearby- the garden of Aunt Eustacia!
With the help of most of his friends, Charlie gets into Aunt Eustacia's garden, obtaining the herb only to fall into a traphole, from which he very narrowly escapes. He rushes back home, but is confronted by Grandma Bone, and so heads to Miss Ingledew's bookshop. He returns home next day and gives the herb to Uncle Paton, who appears the following morning in the bloom of health, with his powers back, and confronts Grandma Bone about lodging Belle, who it is revealed is the former resident of Yewbeam Manor, where he went and was injured by her father. Meanwhile, Mr. Onimous, upon the discovery of Runner Bean, agrees to look after him.
Back at Bloor's, Charlie and his friends learn from Billy Raven that the blue boa which made Ollie invisible must return him to visibility. He speaks to the boa, who agrees to help them. Charlie and his friends then agree to free Ollie at midnight. All the teachers- Dr. Bloor, Manfred Bloor, Asa Pike, etc.- try to stop them, but are hindered by Lysander's spirit ancestors and Tancred's weather control powers. Back at Ms. Ingledew's (which is where Ollie has gone by way of tunnel), the blue boa gradually restores Ollie Sparks to visibility, and he goes to live with Mr. Boldova, who has since been banished from Bloor's anyway.
Back at the school, Emma (as a bird) has confronted Belle, and she turns into a fly and flees the scene to Aunt Venetia's home. Paton discovers her, and he and Charlie go to Venetia's to find Belle sewing a scarf to make her invincible. Fortunately, there is a lightbulb on the sewing machine, and Paton electrocutes her, as well as setting fire to Aunt Venetia's house.
The story ends with Charlie going to Sparkling Castle and dropping Ollie Sparks back to the castle.
